Like all great stories, ours starts with food. And lots of it. Breakfasts, lunches, iced coffees, after-work snacks, dinners - you name it, we love it.
But you know what ruins a perfectly good meal? Yep, you guessed it: wooden forks, communal cutlery and those damn “sporks” again.
So we made Mnched.
And we’re pretty damn happy with how it turned out. We went (almost literally) to the ends of the earth to find the best materials and the most sustainable processes so that we could make a travel cutlery set that stands the test of time and makes us feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Hi, I’m Lorna, and I’m the founder of Mnched!
Everything starts with a story, right? Well, here's the one behind Mnched.
In the summer of 2020, in preparation for returning to the office, my work announced they would no longer provide cutlery (not that you could find a fork anyway!).
So I began sifting through the market to see what was available. Nothing quite cut the mustard - bamboo, child sized or housed in materials that didn't exactly scream "hygienic". I knew there had to be a better alternative, a set made for everyday eating - fully sized, great looking and easy to clean.
So I began the journey to create Mnched...a sustainable, stylish, high quality cutlery & straw sets thats fully dishwasher safe and ready for anywhere and anytime you eat.
After launching in the midst of the pandemic, Mnched now lives in the handbags, rucksacks and picnic bags of hundreds of people across the country.
It turns out, you can have your cake and eat it too - with Mnched! I hope you love it as much as I do!
